Mind blowing map at sexual consent ages around Europe
For many countries, age of 18 is mostly known to already have consent from their parents to do things on their own and that includes sexual act.
Now, we learned from Jakub Marian, 28-year-old Czech linguist, mathematician, and artist through his post, that some countries in Europe differs from majority of what we know. According to his post, the youngest we learned is 14.
It’s also worth noting that aside from the age, a person of trust like teacher to his/her student, foster parent to child and other have possible exceptions to the rules.
Aside from person of trust, close-in-age exemption is also considered in these age of consent. According to the Jakub, some of these countries have this age consideration.
“In some countries,it is legal for a person to have sex with a person under the age of consent provided that the older person is not significantly older than the younger person (usually by no more than 3 years).”
